Due to the working stroke, the friction plate of the tamping hammer may wear differently from top to bottom, and the lower plate wears quickly. It is necessary to replace the lower friction plate before winter. Usually check the gap between the tamping hammer and increase the friction between the two to reduce the number of problems that the tamping hammer can't lift.
