What are the main reasons for the dowty retarder of the vehicle

The exit speed of the vehicle is related to the braking power of the dowty retarder, the number of roofs, the weight of the vehicle, the height difference of the section, the resistance of the vehicle and the entry speed of the vehicle. From this, we can conclude that the vehicle is overspeeding and hanging, mainly caused by the following reasons :

(1) The reduction of the braking power of the dowty retarder is not enough to overcome the kinetic energy of the rolling vehicle, causing the rolling vehicle to overspeed;

(2) The rolling vehicle is overweight, causing the number of dowty retarder installed to be insufficient to overcome the additional weight kinetic energy, resulting in an increase in vehicle speed;

(3) The increase in the slope of the line in the rolling section leads to an increase in the potential energy of the vehicle. The potential energy is converted into kinetic energy during the rolling process, and the speed increases;

(4) The high entrance velocity of the dowty retarder section will inevitably lead to the high exit velocity.
