Daily Maintenance of Mining Lamp

A mining lamp is a lamp, developed for the rigid necessities of underground mining operations. Here are some tips for daily maintenance of mining lamp to let it has a longer service lifetime.

1. After got the new mining lamp, checked by the electrician. After acceptance, do the initial charge. 

2. Daily charging using a constant-voltage charging method in parallel, carried out in the charging stand, charging voltage should be maintained at 5.0 ± 0.1 volts. 

3. To prevent inrush current at the start of charging blown fuse, when charging mining lamp, adjusting the charging voltage to the lowest point, until all mining lamps put on the charging stand, then slowly adjusted charging voltage to 5.0 ± 0.1 volts. 

4. After handed the miner’s lamp to the housing ,placed miner’s lamp to the lamp stand in pigeon according to the charging stand number, closed lamp switch and put the charging plug hole of the lamp into the charging plug of the frame and clockwise 180 °, circuit is turned on, charging indicator indicates the normal charge. 

5. Normal charge time should be less than 12 hours, at the end of the charging current should be less than 0.1 amps. 

6. Ming lamps while charging, if the charging indicator is no current indication, among other factors, you should also check whether the fuse is damaged, it must be promptly replaced if damaged. 

7. Overhaul mining lamp, the method must not used that overlap the positive and negative poles with a metal object like a screwdriver to detect whether the lamp power to prevent burn out the fuse. 

8. To supplement mining lamp once a week distilled water after charging 6-10 hours. 

9. For normal using mining lamp, once a month to adjust the electrolyte concentration to keep the density at 1.280 ± 0.010g / cm3. To adjust the density of water should be conducted 3 days after supplementing distilled water. 

10. Mining lamp in a day is temporarily not in use, the power supply of charging stand can be continued , so the mining lamp can get a balanced charge, but a few days if there is no use of lamp, you can put the cap anticlockwise off the charging circuit to reduce the consumption of the electrolyte after charging 14-16 hours. In case of a temporary power failure, the cap should be cut off the charging circuit anticlockwise. 

11. For a few days unused Mining lamp, must be carried out before use to add power, and when the discharge lamp is not lit, first check the fuse and bulb is burned out. 

12. It should maintain the purity of distilled water, otherwise it will seriously damage the plate of Mining lamp and damage the service life.
