Routine Maintenance Of Locomotives

How to do the  routine maintenance of locomotives?

(1) Check if the brake system leverand pin is good, if the action is flexible, and fill into oil.

2) Check the brake shoe wear, replace the wear and tear of the brake shoe; check the gap between the brake shoe and the wheel tread, timely adjust if the gap exceed provisions. Remove the dirt on the brake shoe

(3) check the wheel if have cracks, whether the loose tire, wear degree of wheel tread.

(4) Check the transmission gear and gear cover for loosening and wear.

(5) Check the frame spring for cracks and failure, remove the mud on the spring, fill into oil between the hinge and the balance beam.

(6) Check if the body and the various parts of the bolt pin, cotter pin is complete, whether the bolts are fastened, pin and cotter pin connection is good. In particular, the installation of the traction motor should be carefully checked.

(7) Check the connection device, whether there is damage, wear exceeded.

(8) Check whether the components of the sand removal system are complete, the connection is good, whether the sand pipe is blocked, whether it is aimed at the center of the track, and the distance between the wheel and the track.

(9) Check whether the pressure of the receiving spring is sufficient, whether the skateboard is broken and the wear is overrun, and the frames, bolts and pins are complete.

(10) Check the resistor whether is broken, whether the terminal is loose, clean the dirt.

(11) Test whether the controller of the mechanical locking device is reliable, whether the wiring terminal have loose phenomenon; check the contacts of controller, in particular the contact burning frequently used.

(12) Check the traction motor, bearing and fuel tank immediately after the motor vehicle outage,whether the motor temperature exceeds (75 ℃), whether the bearing temperature is overrun (65 ℃), remove the fuel tank dust, regular fill into and change oil.

(13) Check whether lighting is good and brightness enough, fuses should comply with regulations.
