To put it simply, a variable frequency mine electric locomotives is an inverter added to the structure of a conventional mine electric locomotives. The motor is the heart of the electric locomotive, and its speed directly affects the use efficiency of mine electric locomotives. The inverter is a control system used to control and adjust the speed of the motor, so that it is always in the optimal speed state, thereby improving the energy efficiency ratio (compared with the conventional mine electric locomotives saves 20% to 30%).
The variable frequency mine electric locomotives has the following characteristics: ① The starting current is small and the speed is gradually increased; ② There is no problem of being slow and fast, because the variable frequency locomotive gradually reduces the speed with the change of reducing the frequency, and gradually reaches low frequency operation, so that the mine electric locomotives remains stable; ③ The noise is lower than that of the conventional mine electric locomotives, because the variable-frequency mine electric locomotives uses a dual-rotor motor, which greatly reduces the degree of unbalance of the rotation and makes the vibration of the motor very small, about 1/2 of that of the conventional mine electric locomotives.
