In view of the harm of the "dead top" phenomenon of the dowty retarder to the shunting operation, to avoid the occurrence of off-line accidents, the key points to pay special attention to are:
1. The dismantling and maintenance of the sliding cylinder assembly of dowty retarder. The interior of the cylinder and the piston rod assembly must be thoroughly cleaned and dried.
2. The opening test of the piston rod assembly of the ball valve of dowty retarder must be accurate and meet the requirements of technical parameter standards.
3. Check that the pin Φ2.5 × 12 is cracked or loose.
4. The pressure valve seat of the flat valve piston rod assembly of dowty retarder must be fastened firmly.
5. Check that the dowty retarder clamping spring is not damaged or deformed to avoid the return of the return valve plate and affect the return function of the piston rod assembly.
