In order to ensure that the train runs at a speed not exceeding the weighing requirements of the track scale, it is proposed to add a dowty retarder at the loading station to counteract the influence of gravity on the train speed. Since the medium and strong loading stations arrive at empty cars and start heavy cars, they must go through the track scale out of the station. If the dowty retarder is set on the section line outside the track scale, there will be damage to the dowty retarder due to the overspeed of the arriving train, or increase the resistance of the section line (equivalent to increasing the section resistance), which will affect the running speed of the inbound train. Therefore, it is considered to install retarders on the arrival departure track and the flat slope section before and after the track scale.
150 dowty retarder are installed 50 meters in front of the track scale (in the direction of the station), and no top is set in the turnout area. 730 dowty retarder are installed within 210m of the warning mark of two heavy vehicle departure lines. After this arrangement, it can ensure that the train will enter the track scale at the speed of 15km / h when leaving the station, and the speed of the last train passing through the scale shall not exceed 30km / h.
Since the track scale is installed on the main line, the train speed passing through the scale is relatively high. Obviously, the high-speed dowty retarder should be used for the deceleration before the track scale. Through the engineering analysis of the line expansion scheme and dowty retarder installation scheme, it is obvious that the retarder installation scheme can greatly save the project investment.
