If the pressure adjustment is too high, the vertical reaction force of dowty retarder to the rolling vehicle will be increased, resulting in the wheel floating height exceeding the limit. The opening pressure condition of pressure valve is selected according to the national standard that the wheel float of 13T flat car does not exceed 8mm. This requires that the field maintenance personnel must often check whether the opening pressure of the pressure valve conforms to the technology on the test bench.
