Overview and use of TDJ302 dowty retarder

The TDJ-302 type dowty retarder is a speed control tool that can automatically control the rolling speed of the vehicle without external energy. It can be installed and used in the straight section, curved section and turnout area in the shunting yard.

The dowty retarder is composed of two parts, a sliding oil cylinder assembly and a shell assembly, which are fastened in the steel rail with stud bolts and filled with a certain volume of oil and nitrogen. Therefore, the dowty retarder has no deceleration effect on vehicles below the critical speed (which can be selected according to needs), and only decelerates vehicles above the critical speed.
