Steel rails are important materials related to the safety of railway lines, and for long cargo, the quality requirements are higher than those of ordinary steel. In order to prevent the rail from being damaged, deformed, severely rusted and other defects during storage, the following measures should be taken.

一.Steel rails storage foundation

1. The Steel rails foundation should be made of concrete foundation beam, the foundation should be firm and meet the bearing requirements. When temporarily storing at the construction site, if there is no condition, the hardened ground can be used, that is, the land is leveled and compacted, and 150mm gravel is padded.

2. The steel cross-supported steel rail should be set on the concrete foundation beam. The cross-load of the two ends of the storage platform should be no more than 2 meters from the rail end, the second cross-arm should be no more than 6 meters from the rail end, and the middle cross-belt should be no more than 6 meters. . When the hardened floor is used, the sleeper is required to be placed on the gravel, and 5 lanes/layer are counted.

3. The top surface of the cross arm should be horizontal, the difference between adjacent heights is not more than 10 mm, and the overall height difference is not more than 20 mm.

4. Steel rails storage area should be ventilated, with good drainage and no water accumulation.

5. Avoid storing with corrosive chemicals and hard objects.
